Trompe L'Oeil

Trompe L'Oeil

A Poem by Frieda P
"

...a style of painting in which objects are depicted with photographically realistic detail.

"
Creating an illusion is what you see
can you peer through the window in reality
it is really deceit at its finest and best
imagination of the mind is the real test
is what you see authenticity or a pigmented allusion
which you decide is your own unique conclusion

You know I love rhyme. You killed it in this piece.

The topic is one I also love and ponder daily. You personified this style of painting and analogized this with the human mind and condition. It is funny how not only others can paint an illusion that we fall for, but at times we paint the illusion ourselves and therefore have no one else to blame.

Truly enjoyed this one. You have a lot up your sleeve.

Well, I guess we all have to rhyme sometime ;-) I have some of this art work on my own walls...it's amazing stuff, really. I can't even draw a stick figure xD Nice work, lady.

Deceit in reality...you must have looked through the same window I did haha A nice little assessment of visual art and its varying effects on an individual...you still get all the cool captchas though ;P

we are living in the age of allusion. between reality and imagination there is a very tiny transparent thread which makes reality an allusion. it was said, dont believe everything you see nor half of what you hear, but i think now, we cant believe neither what we hear nor what we see since the reality has never become clear as it was. most pictures are made up, most talks are treated in a way to make it be fake...

but i really believe, your poem is unbelievable..
