I Fall in Sleep

I Fall in Sleep

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Inspired by one of my favorite songs by Sia~I Go To Sleep...enjoy the music.

"
I lay in peace
    you upon my head
no other thoughts
      amidst my mind
your strong shoulders
           hold me here
the scent of your manhood
           envelopes me
the heaviness of your loins
          keeps me safe
soaked in the invisible cloak
          of your heat
etched behind closed eyes
     your silhouette
lulled by the sweet crackle
           of our fire
lingering in the grace
      of sumptuous afterglow

         I fall under
                      the hypnotic
                                   sublimity
                                          of our splendor

Your words are so lovely and flowing! I awakened not too long ago, but want to go crawl back in and cuddle amongst the covers and dreams all my cares away after reading your poem and listening to the song. This is almost hypnotic and conveys a beautiful message!! Thank you for your beautiful lullaby of love!!
(And poppies are among my favorite flowers, so the video is perfect)

I love that song..and I love this poem. It reminds me of a warm summer day...when I'm outside relaxing...the heat...the wind cooling my skin...it makes me want to sleep..much like you've expressed it through the use of touch and body heat. Gorgeous.

Belize? :-)
i guess i am a bit dated ....this song was first recorded by Chrissy Hynde and The Pretenders and i have to say this version by Sia is rather lacklustre in comparison. the poem is , of course, drop dead gorgeous. very well written and ethereal in quality. i love it.

Are you going to bring the Kinks into this next? It's my poem, Sia stands firm.

So warm and sweetly sensual. This makes me think of how a woman longs to feel both physically and emotionally protected by a man. That security of his body being a "safe" place as you lay wrapped together. *sigh*....

A soft romantic moment, captured very eloquently... Like a dream ;)
