~Period.

~Period.

A Poem by Frieda P

Last time I saw you, you were zoetic
we take life's every day nuances for granted
you dug us both a grave with your last breath
memories keep you alive in your absence
your face only visible within a photograph
there is no sense of touch or grasp of poetry
a period           at the end of your sentence
halted dead in its last tearful stanza
all musical tracks mute by eradication

The loss of someone you love is hard to deal with. This is such a powerful write. Although they are gone, and we're in pain we still relive those memories, we still have all those amazing memories that we can look back on. I loved the title. This whole write was absolutely amazing!

Ouch indeed, thanks Steve.
When all thats left is a photograph it seems the last memory has to be the one to suffice .Just as we see a friend in the casket and forever that is what we remember

You just sent a chill through my body Tate, luckily I don't remember her in that way.
:( This one brought me to tears, Frieda. I couldn't help but think of those that I have lost, and especially those who have departed too soon and too quickly. You are spot on...we do not notice the "little things" until they are gone; even the aggrivating things that a person did in life are cherished remnants when they are gone. I have little to say on this one, except I understand and I feel your words.

There is a cut off point...It all depends upon the individual I suppose. Be strong
I can see with your recent writings that you're going through a tough time...but as I've mentioned before, your willingness to openly convey your hurt through such incredible poetry is an inspiration to us all...you show us that it's okay, even necessary, to let it out...nothing good can come of bottling such things in...I say it all the time but I will continue to reiterate that I feel this pain, and that you'll never be lacking for support.
