Beyond Ambiguity

Beyond Ambiguity

A Poem by Frieda P
"

A peaceful communion ~ quote by RUMI is one of my favorites.

"
Come sit with me in fields of poppies
where collective thoughts can be free
we are capable of peace & tranquility
beyond a tortured existence
acceptance is the key to deter conflict
stepping further aside good & evil
the lines of societal ambiguities' affronts
Herein lies a gracious communal of harmony

Hear the doves coo, where music plays in the heart,
we'll dance in these fields together...

The field of poppies...a very peaceful place...easy to forget and just relax. Wait a minute....a big field of opium...very harmonious ;)

Laughing here, you would go there Dye! ;-)
There is such an awakening here...a feeling of awe, the beauty of the poppies. Your "author's note" kept me mesmerized, and the quote by RUMI...such a tranquil presentation, Frieda!

My best,
Kelly

"acceptance is the key to deter conflict"

if only people remembered that , we might have more love and less hate...

the state of the world is the worst i have seen since my birth.

great poem..a strong message but a gentle way to relay it.

Wow, thanks Angel, coming from you that means a lot....
You have picked out a favorite thought with this write.
We do not have to label everything do we? Ambiguity is a gift as it allows space to be oneself in the midst of the ever changing values of our surroundings.
I am happy to live in this field with you... I can think of no better place to live...
Thank you for the lovely thought.

This should be tacked to every wall of every world leader, every person who makes decisions about sending people off to war - for that matter, every classroom and playground, too - everywhere there is a need for the wisdom of peace. Beautiful words here, Frieda...

So kind of you to say Rita, thanks so much....!
Your poem is hauntingly beautiful and incredibly sad, to think we must lie among the dead to know true peace. Quick fact: In Flanders Field was actually written by a Canadian (Yeah we do that, us Canadians. Jim and Mike Myers Canadian. Annoying huh?)
