Flutter'd Dash

Flutter'd Dash

A Poem by Frieda P

Breath that feels as shards of glass,
kneeling in the dust of vapored stars

fragmented pieces of a forlorn past
abandoned and bereft tracks of soul

haunted in the fear of the night
allusions of a faceless faltered grace

day breaks and tears still tremble
left in the quake of a flutter'd dash

This is exquisite. I agree with BR that first line is outstanding. The whole thing feels of deep pain against a delicate memory.

May the tears, and these beautiful words, be cleansing to your soul, Frieda.

I'm gonna have to plagerise that first line

Sadness seems the forecast for these days, hopefully the sun will shine soon and warm your heart.

Still as beautiful as always my sweet friend.

An abject lesson in what we leave behind us....
Come, Frieda...smile for the blessing of people who love you...
