dis connected

dis connected

A Poem by Frieda P

dis connected,
obliterated into tiny pulverized pieces
you took flight without an omen
pierced my soul never to be the same
songs upon a prayer's wing'd escape
once there were two with a single connection
secrets of the heart tuned for perpetuity
nothing lasts forever except memories

I love the way you have "Dis connected" the connection, here. You write beautifully.

Memories and photographs, yes. "Dis connected" indeed. Clever, I like the separation there.

right this world. add a coma. Right, this world.
give breath to thought. give to thought. give to breathe.
oh, to hold the moment, soo slight, the bay rum lingers even
to the nose of a memory.Cool my chin to the nape, to the neck, cool
Pressed
Pressed together, one.
not theirs,
Now only hours,
And ours
Arms to hold ribs,squeezed back,
yes a memory,tied to a thought.

killer of a finish your majesty, that final line is simplicity itself.....good to see you back.

Frieda! Is it really you!? I'm pleased as punch to see you back. This poem is sad. I'm sorry you had a bad time

In Dante Alighieri's The Divine Comedy, the City of Dis (in Italian, la città ch'ha nome Dite, "the city whose name is Dis")[1] encompasses the sixth through the ninth circles of Hell.[2] The most serious sins are punished here, in lower Hell. Dis is extremely hot, and contains areas more closely resembling the common modern conception of Hell than the upper levels.
