Unicorns & Wooly Mammoths...oh my!

Noah said 'you missed the boat'

the unicorns horns stabbed at the air

'how could you leave us magical creatures here,

the most magnificent of them all'?

Pondering upon this question Noah said,

'sometimes fantasy of the mind is the best kind, 

you'll live on for eternity, never to become extinct'.

The unicorns guffawed in disbelief,

'we'd gladly take our chances with the rest,

but apparently you know what is best'!

So the unicorns lived on in perpetuity,

you can bet the wooly mammoths 

wish'd they'd been absent that day...

Ha. You silly goose, unicorns are still around... They just don't bother with Noah. The rainbow was actually how they escaped the flood and made it back again. Noah thought it was all about him... Typical preacher.

A fun little poem, and it is true that often the mythical is more special because you will never see it. On another note.... Here is some fun trivia for you, since this poem is about Noah and the Unicorn. In the Hebrew version of the Bible, a creature known as the Re'em is referenced several times. In the King James translation, it was translated to Unicorn. Funny enough, according to some Jewish Folklore, the Re'em was so massive, that Noah had to tie it to the ark, since it couldn't fit inside. So the true fate of the unicorn? Strapped to the ark like a deer to the hood of a car!
