Prism in high-def...

Prism in high-def...

A Poem by Frieda P

Butterflies in my head

like percolating coffee suds

i walked a little faster

to catch up with my mind's anachronisms

future like a prism in high def

building castles of cotton candy vapors

smoky salt tears whisper out loud

like a hot knife through butter foam

dancing in enraged twists of prophetic cyclonic squalls

shindig of cobalt's eclectic leaves storming fiercely down

wading in puddles of refractive delirium's trippy next dip

I know I already gave you my feelings on this one but thought id put it in review here...

Sounds like your mind is bubbling over....trying to keep up with processing the way things used to be or old ways of thinking. What could be, is too bright to peer at for long and you question whether its real or just illusions. The sadness and pain is speaking to you maybe not as loud but its there. The last three lines seem to infer that you know the emotional dance youve done for so long won't end and even if theres a pause in it you will always expect the proverbial shoe to drop.

Still get the same thoughts after rereading this poem....and I love each line. xo

It seems that I need a coffee right now. Your poem is delicious. It reminds me of the taste and smell of coffee.

Interesting, thanks for reading Fede, enjoy your coffee, cheers.
You know? This is right up my alley, although I've been lacking to share anymore poetry. This is beautiful painting of words, you actually made drinking coffee glamourous in my perspective even if I prefer tea. The colors and language is rich in each verse. I thoroughly enjoyed.

I tend to bash my thoughts off the mental table with a baseball bat, let them fall where they may and then pick up what I want to use and leave the rest for the cleaning lady... nice one Frieda! :)
