Coffee & poetry ~

Coffee & poetry ~

A Poem by Frieda P

Aroused by the wafting aroma of coffee,
    & the tête-à-tête
of poetry's hummingbird lyrics,
           unfolding like symphony's origami
persuasive satisfaction of my heart's intention
creativity's desire surging as each word prances
across the pages of interchangeable divine thoughts
symbiotic splendor whirls in meditative sentiments
          within entity's contemplative dreaming tumult,
an iambic foot of rhythm's hypnotic control
     wandering in poesy's contentment
     satisfying the restless gypsy's urges,
sweet inspiration's prolific rhyme unfurling
in the synergistic dance of collective harmony

Coffee and poetry. My two favorite things. Amazing description my friend.
"an iambic foot of rhythm's hypnotic control
wandering in poesy's contentment
satisfying the restless gypsy's urges,"
Nice to know the feeling the contentment of pen and paper with the good taste of coffee near. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

I do my best writing when Dale shuts the heck up. I give him some coffee and send him away, haha :)) I loved this one, Frieda. It's a beauty.

I do my best work when I have coffee with my muse, she suddenly becomes more chatty, must be the caffeine.

Well if this isn't a match made in heaven, I don't know what is, and I ADORE that artwork! I don't write a whole lot of stuff without a cup of coffee next to me...it's like I need the wafting aroma to arouse my creative attentiveness...as always, you make it difficult to single out certain bits for every line is loaded with majestic evocations...the iambic foot of rhythm's hypnotic control is perfect though...that's one of my favourite single lines from your work without question...I tend to focus on meter more than you do, but it takes someone of your talent to express it that way...I wish I thought of that one ;) This poem took me to a peaceful and contented place, which is saying something given the mood I've been in today haha But you can do that Mrs.R, as you've proven time and time again...gorgeous work :) xo

I loved this one Fri! It's so fresh, and innovative, just a bright new day, kind of feeling... I feel the sun shining again... coffee and poetry always seem to work well together, and with your brilliant mind, they just are music. :) This one made me happy today ... lovely work my dear.

I will fully admit to looking up tumult in the dictionary.

If this doesn't sound like a fantastic morning i really don't know what does. The precise doctrine of description that you use for this piece is quite amazing.
