“Hustisya”

Here lays them as if peacefully sleeping

Under bright lights and pretty big flowers

Some does not even find the way back home

Terrified, checks the time, run

Instill fear, slap tape, cover your mouth

Shoot to kill, he said

Your lives in their hands

Anger, passion fueled want for change ignited

A stop must be put to

Nightmares of the past, much worse than before, happening

Gore, bloodshed, screams, tears, too much

Abuse of power, greed, pocketed money oh

Military does not solve everything, mister

Injustices increases, humanity stepped and spitted on,

Never again! We cry

Glorious days of yours will dim, a promise

Still scared but not speaking the truth is scarier

In times like these, silence becomes betrayal

Grab the microphones, trend those hashtags, paint, and cards

Amplify the voices of those robbed

We want to leave in peace, he whispered, slipping away

                 -g.b.
