Unknown - II

A Poem by gauravpal

He had accepted his fate,

No miracle would now have been worth the wait.

Just like the old times, he’d fear going out in the light.

A gloomy, dark corner was where he wouldn’t find his plight.

Lies were the basis of the world she was now living in.

The one, which he never wished to enter again.

No one knew that sympathy was what he needed.
So the male carried a façade.

Perhaps, nice guys do finish last.

Soon, the ray of hope had gone.

Cocoon around his emotions was shattered down.

The immense pain would return every time he saw her.

She used to say that things were better than ever

And whatever had happened before was trivial.

He felt that he got tied up and,

His soul was ripped apart by a rifle.

The will to live was nowhere to be found.

He could have either gone away or just stuck around.

None seemed to be the solution so he decided to give up.

He swam till the middle of the ocean and simply kept his limbs unnerve.

Receded to a depth, where sunlight wouldn’t even dare enter.

The cold, dry soul was about to depart.

But who knew that his new life was about to start.

His angel came back to save him.

Was told that his life had no space for grim.

Oblivious of the fact that he had changed,

She apologized for what she did.

He demanded an explanation but he never got an answer.

All she then knew was that the evil was the swindler.

The male wanted her back but his reason didn’t allow.

‘Your heart must make your decision and brain shall administer.’

He recalled these words from a play that he saw.

So decided to drink all his pain and forgave.

Even apologized for letting her get away.

This time he took her someplace far, far from everyone.

She accepted without further delay and went along.

They lived happily ever after, but only until that dawn…

The pain and torture through heartbreaks and seeing in the end she talks to angels with her gratitude and her sweet embrace. As you stated here in line "She used to say that things were better than ever". That lifted his soul in troublesome times in your temporary storms of life. Given these observations, we might be inclined to think that there’s a significant element of irrationality to love. But we should be careful here, as perhaps love can have reasons too. For example, if you have a significant other, you could probably list off a bunch of reasons for your love: your partner is kind, intelligent, funny, and so on. If you loved someone who was mean, stupid, and boring, that would be irrational. But, presumably, many of us have great reasons for loving who we love, which shows that sometimes love is actually quite rational.

I see in the conclusion, things are put in place for the better and sometimes you get a piece from a puzzle that seem not to fit, but we as human beings always finds a unique way of making it fit. In the end the signs lead you to abundance of blessings waiting for you. Thanks for the read request. Made my night reading beautiful poetry. Keep writing.

Sincerely your friend in poetry and life.
