I rode a moonlit path without any glee.

I rode a moonlit path without any glee.

A Poem by gauravpal

Vast stretches of darkness were my guidance

While I walked in a void full of silence.

Endless was that route, at least how I could feel.

I rode that moonlit path without any glee.

The pale grass on either side

was a few inches tall and  wild

Trees stood high all along

With their pinnacles far away from my reach.

I rode that moonlit path without any glee.

On that night of full, grand moon

Serpents looked for a bountiful dinner

But I was one of those whom even a lion couldn’t even bother.

I had hem deceived with my quick wit and sharp speed.

I rode that moonlit path without any glee.

It led only to a world of darker nothingness.

But I travelled with the hope of reaching somewhere

For the endless path after sometime seemed to converge.

But my end was near only a few steps from there.

I got squashed by a human.

He looked under his feet

And he wrote a prose later:

A rodent rode that moonlit path without any glee.
