The Poem

The Poem

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

in this place, quiet one moment

and cacophonous the next,

the mind spins the prose

that lies hidden away

starting with a point

becoming a line

becoming a curve

becoming a melding

of lines and curves

called words

becoming a melding

of words rhythmically

positioned to elicit

a catharsis and that

is called the poem

good or bad

quickly laid down or

painfully drown out

the poem expresses brusquely

what the novelists and theoreticians

say in billions and billions of letters,

words, lines, paragraphs, chapters,

novels, novellas, short stories and epics

that's likely why Plath and Pound

have passed the time test over and over

the poets say it and spray it,

no matter the location

temporal or trivial

so magical isnt it..

the ability to wake up each day, and travel space before time even decided to be born

one could spend a whole lifetime in search of that, perfect thought, to only realize that what is perfect is that there is no such thing

there is only connection of energies, the tastes of a revery.. the bark of splintered shadow, or, maybe a sound of two colors blended into touch..

just enjoy the swim in this sea of vast yes

feeling will only float, if we ever let it..

Thank you, Antonio. Glad you like it.
a clever way of shedding light on the passions and qualifies contained in poetry... how it all comes into being... it reinvigorates the art and the interest in it.. makes me want to read a classic poem again. thank you for this.

~ an out and out masterpiece, monsieur kenneth... possibly one of your best pieces... the seamless blending of geometric references with excellence in poetic expression in the following lines is particularly awe-inspiring...

"starting with a point
becoming a line
becoming a curve
becoming a melding
of lines and curves
called words
becoming a melding
of words rhythmically
positioned to elicit
a catharsis and that
is called the poem"

~ super spectacular work... sheer genius...
