Simpatico

Simpatico

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

the yellow buds bloom in open light
that smell ruminates both day and night

to the large-acre farmers, this is money
just like beekeepers relying on honey

and these men have symbolic simpatico
large-scale pollination if you didn't know

honey and cooking oil coming to the stores
these basic demands cannot be ignored

and for years onward, this great simpatico lives
they hope since colony collapse never forgives

keep that in mind when you go food shopping
because our appetites are never stopping
