Simple Things

Simple Things

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

I have seen the star within
Ursa Major, the one called Polaris
and that seems to be my destiny,
to give it away, the simple things
like poetry, knowledge and the
red dust that we give off called love

call them distractions if you must,
but that happens if you are
in the waiting line or
out of town for some reason

but this world is all we have
and we are all we have,
so those diversions as you call them
and those assets I call them
fall into the impasse of
lizwana-likufanele

if it suits you, then it suits us

and so the end theme plays
as we all make our own meaning
as salt water sound plays
in the background and the
planet keeps on spinning,
making trips around the fireball

keep living the dream
and the rule of gold
