No Chance

No Chance

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

We are in the downfall

The permanent decline

The warning flags on call

Sending chills up my spine

The electorate knows one side

Be it jackass or pachyderm

Every day, both sides collide

The stupidity comes full term

Vote now, the activists scream

Make a sound, the mouthpiece calls

You have a choice, you surely dream

You have a voice, you must have balls

Nobody listens, nobody f*****g cares

Being a pessimist is a better worldview

We’re a bunch of dopey, useless squares

The collective fate that we can’t undo

Are we at war, are we at peace?

Are the masses caught on strings?

Are we all-out mentally deceased?

Have they clipped our brainy wings?

You question the contradictions

You fight against the logical flaws

But that breeds bodily afflictions

And your brain’s clenched in claws

Mix the creeds of peace and love

With the polarity on the other end

God didn’t send it from high above

Full of grace, we have to bend

With the world and with our own

An olive branch, we have to give

We aren’t juveniles, we have grown

That’s when we live to let live

The terrorists may try to strike fear

But we know it’s already occurred

Our handlers tells us crystal clear

Mr. Freethinker isn’t a Free Bird

This big conspiracy binds us tight

The enlightened see this first glance

Chained up and unable to fight

With a wink, we have no chance
