With Conviction

Easy answers, always in vogue
Growth happens by going rogue

Building a faith off of heresy
And people have found clarity

By taking the hard path up
And drinking from that cup

The cup of brotherhood, of love
Reality is that God is not above

But within us all, all throughout
That's a realization to think about

All are one due to the molecule
Union is not the heresy, but the rule

So judge each other with democracy
And find ways to not hide hypocrisy

Life is too short to hate on each other
Because we're sisters and we're brothers

I believe in the power of the universe
It's loves us dearly, for what it's worth

I say that with power, with conviction
I am here now and that's my benediction

Back to basics for me. I am trying to return to a positive outlook on life after years of heartache. A new place, a new outlook may not change anything immediately, but each day is a fresh start.
