Destructive Gale

Destructive Gale

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

Neil and Warren stood before
me and judged my verse

and some other guy's and couldn't
decide whose was worse,

so I decided to take the shot
to the emotional chest

and the other guy went onto fame
and I fell back within the rest,

one shot at living forever
and that markedly failed

now I lie here with bad words
and myself in a Turkish jail

of sorts like a Zevon tune
where the excited boy became

the bad example way too soon
but he died without any pain

and that's the point of this sad tale,
human life is just a destructive gale
