It's so much easier

to pretend as if nothing happened.

It was always hard to convince myself

that all will pass,

knowing that it wouldn't,

nothing could help.

My heart's broken,

by someone,

who I managed to keep my undying love.

Now I'm all tears,

from loving someone

who was never even mine.

It was too impossible

from him to love me,

but, as foolish as I am,

I still adore him.

I wanted him to need me,

but I guess everything you want in life,

isn't always what you get.
