A Poem by Ghost

Resurrect

I am entombed in the dark caverns,

The deep recesses and corners of my dismal mind,

Where no light can ever be found, ever be seen,

No sound can ever be unheard or ever muted.

Circumstances, panic suffocates,

Holds me down, surrounding me,

With a sea of deafening solitude,

Drowning me in a whirlpool of reflected thoughts.

Never releasing me from the desolate chambers,

That are filled with haunting voices and unending questions,

Glancing into unforgiving mirrors of my past, my mistakes,

Sadness, sorrow penetrates trying to sabotage my soul.

Behind the agony of my fragmented mind,

Is a drowning man, a hurting child of a bruised and bleeding spirit,

One who crawls, hobbles, staggers reaching for any glimpse of hope,

To resurrect this fallen victim back into the harbor of light..
