Haunted Love

Haunted Love

A Poem by Ghost

Haunted Love

You opened the door to my loneliness,

And there comes a haunting echo from my empty emotions,

Memories - unyielding reminders of my past, present, and unknown future,

Unspoken pieces caught in the barbs of night and day,

Lingering endless images of what used to be - you and me.

Forgotten feelings lost in a relentless storm,

Of footsteps running through my unseen hollow existence,

My lifeless soul and damaged heart are shrouded in darkness,

Hiding the insecurities, the fears, the self-doubt of my shattered hope.

Tears bleed from the corner of my eyes - shed from the tormenting pain,

Locked away, decaying within the bitter recess of my subconsciousness,

Misery is the specter of my sorrow that pushes my sanity over the edge,

Into an eerie web woven by the cold fingers from the ghost of my haunted love....
