Tap Dance

Tap Dance

A Poem by GlamGirl
"

I was nowhere near her perfection

"

I watched her feet,

tapping out a beautiful

melody.

My anxious feet tried to copy her

exact movements.

A trip, a scuff, a jump.

I was nowhere near her

perfection.

Her movements fluid but quick,

each sound distinct.

I watched in awe as she

glided

through the routine.

No mistakes.

I envied her.

My idol.

There was a time that I wished to learn how to tap dance. Nothing wrong with a guy admitting that.
