Metaphysical chess

Metaphysical chess

A Chapter by Goddisia
"

This poem was written on the day of my beloved Grandmother Zofia's birthday... We shared more than just the affinity for the dramatic...

"

Play with Death

for the unreachable cliff

if you win

you’ll see

floating

on the waves

millions of

silken threads

If you win

I will let you

spread your arms

and embrace the air

If…

you lose

a delicate blow

of wind

will spill elaborate

sand ornaments

the dust covering

your name

disappearing, will uncover

ideal emptiness

April 15th, 1997

(Zofia’s birthday)
