It's Not That Bad

It's Not That Bad

A Poem by Ironbutt
"

Getting old , for some, seems scary but, it's actually an acceptable phase once you learn to go with it.

"
It's harder these days to get around,
there's things ,if they fall, I leave on the ground.
There are sounds coming out of me I cant restrain...
much less try to explain.
Seems I'am happier with an afternoon nap,
matter of fact right now I should go back.
I guess it's really all just as well,
seems all my buddies are like me ,
far as I can tell.
We do good getting past the nine o'clock news.
Three or four beers and we're ready for a evening snooze.
The old ladies don't have to worry about us sneaking out,
after some good food, we are all racked out on the couch.
 So really it's no shame,
take getting old with salts grain.
Live happy with the memories of our youth,
getting old is easier to get used to.
