Cool Morning, Warm Hearts

Cool Morning, Warm Hearts

A Poem by Ironbutt
"

Time schedules are on over load, pocket money is short... good hearts make the bridge.

"
Been planning this behind the scene for weeks now and it's on.
Got good folks working on the setup, still fighting back the yawns.
Always hard to do a early Saturday when Friday night is still in the head,
these good folks got it going on ,  not enough thank you to be said.
Standing at the starting point, straining my ears for a familiar sound,
I finally see the first chrome horse set its kickstand down.
Cold faces but warm hugs and smiles are free today,
they've come from miles around to help a bro with bills to pay.
Got food coming in the door and bands are setting up.
Everybody brought a good attitude and a few dollars to put in the cup.
There are door prizes to give away and a tattoo contest to liven up the  mood,
guitar in the right hands, Old David can bring on the Blues!
Final count of all the jars and we bring the family up.
A cheer comes from the crowd as we hand the check signed with love.
Rumble of the last bike out slowly fades away,
I sit on my scoot and breath easy..... Thank you Lord, it was a good day.
