The Vanishing

The Vanishing

A Poem by Ironbutt
"

Chance meetings, missed encounters, what to do or say. Too late...vanished.

"
Curiosity... a small stab at an attempt....
few words on a screen... message sent.
Heart beat skips... a respond received...
curiosity... heart unseen.
 Small talk grows..personalizing notes..
chance at a meeting...well..who knows.
More time at the screen..a void is filled...
that is...until.....Vanished.....
 Were too  many words said...
struck a raw note....
was it something not read...
something not wrote ?
Perhaps a new messenger fills the screen...
perhaps too many and the message falls in between.
Where are the xxx's...and all the "ooo's"..
when something vanishes...so many unknowns.
Search in the comments, search in the reviews...
no longer a message, there for just you.
The screen remains blank, you can still see the face...
you know they are still there...vanished... blank page.
