3rd Shift Security

3rd Shift Security

A Poem by h1ghstrung

The world sleeps
and I sit.
Darkness envelops me.
I become night.
Cold. Lonely. Humbled and Sober.
I sit.

The clock's
tic tocs
mock me
as I sit.

The void closes in
it clutches me
as I sit and
wait for light
to pierce the horizon.

I can relate to this. I'm actually sitting here as a graveyard shift guard, writing this review. Luckily though, they recently gave us a computer.

I like the description here
"The void closes in
it clutches me
as I sit and
wait for light
to pierce the horizon."

Keep it up!
