You Know Who You Are

You Know Who You Are

A Poem by Frances Smart

I miss you...

Everything about you...

Your smile, your laughter...

The long conversations at one a.m.

The way we connect, and did from the start...

As if it were just effortless.

There is NO ONE like you...

How I wish you were here...

But then, I kept telling you that...

And just when it seemed as if

We might actually get to be together...

You vanished, and I...

I was left standing here...

Holding my heart in my hands...

Feeling it beat...

And knowing that

The only thing keeping it going was gone.

*Tear falls from eye* How tragically romantic? Very much so. I can so relate. THe flow was good and so were the words. Nice work.
