This is my last letter to you

I’ve done all I can do

I’ve been wasting my time

All these years I can’t retrieve

 

It’s not that I still love you

It’s that you hate me

I don’t want you to be scared of me

It makes me feel like a villain

 

I just wanted to say hello

But I can’t make myself vulnerable again

I’ve tried so hard to make amends

But your responses are always cold

 

This is my last poem to you

So the next time you run away

I won’t try and follow you

I’m done wasting my time on you

 

I’m over the way you cause me to feel

I’m through playing this tiresome game

From here on out you no longer exist

My world will be free from you

 

 

This is the last thing I write

There’s nothing else for me to try

Tonight I’ll go home but I won’t cry

This is my final goodbye
