Remain

Remain

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

Are you waiting for me?

That's what I wonder

That's what I hope

That's what I pray for

If I call with you answer?

If I ask will you stay?

Will it be the way it used to?

The way it was meant to be

Are you waiting for me?

I'm hesitant to make my move

I can't watch you walk away again

And I know that's what you'll do

If I say your name will you come?

If I need you will you be there?

That's my fading hope

That's what I pray for

Are you waiting for me?

Because I can no longer count the days

That I've been waiting on you

To come back and this time remain
