Match

Match

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

I'll fight for you if you fight for me...

"

Can't you see how much you mean to me?

Can't you see, I need you to breathe

When you're gone, I can't sleep

I need you here beside me

I won't let the darkness have you

No one can take you away from me

All we have is this little, broken family

So we fight until we can't anymore

There's still a light in your eyes

I won't give up until it goes out

And when your hope begins to flicker

Then I'll be your match

Don't you dare walk away from me

Don't you dare turn your back

Can't you see, I love you eternally

You can stray, but I'll pull you back

I won't let the shadows engulf you

The flames can't consume you

If only you take my hand

I'll show you love is the cure

When you're gone, I can't sleep

Can't you see, I need you to breathe

All we have is this little, broken family

So I'll fight for you if you fight for me
