Hole

Hole

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

You're so quick to judge me
And call me a failure

You're always searching

For opportunities to put me down

Because it's easier to see my fault

Than to accept your own

You say that I'm depressed

But I'm more successful than you'll ever be

You use her to get to me

You strike where it hurts the worst

Turn everyone against me

Until I'm as lonely as you

You used to protect me

You once loved me

But that was back when you had a heart

Now there's just a hole
