Peace and Pandemonium

Peace and Pandemonium

A Poem by Hannahbananas

Our existence is full of great meaning.

I will not accept that

Life is superior when we hide ourselves from the world.

I take as the gospel truth that

No matter how dim the future seems, things always get better.

Only ignorant people postulate that

The world is solely composed of evil individuals.

I've lived long enough to know that

We are all pulchritudinous and equally created.

Society lies when it tells us that

Happy endings do not exist.

I am the author of my own story, and I proclaim that

Through god all things are possible.

Foolishness would be the idea that

We are defined by our pasts and incapable of greatness.

I choose to believe that

It's okay to not always be okay.

The weak are those who tell themselves that

Asking for help is the easy way out.

Strength is to acknowledge that

There are situations outside of our control.

I will never acquiesce with the idea that

We are terribly flawed and destined for destruction.

The world is not all that it seems.

(Now read from the bottom up.)
