Confused

Confused

A Poem by Richard Dotson, Jr.

Confused cuz I don' t know what to do.
Confused cuz you know I wanna be with you.
Confused about feelings that arose after our date.
Confused and dumbfounded, wondering why I must wait.
Confused about your judgment and certain things that you do.
Confused cuz I sometimes wonder why I put up with you.
Confused cuz this whole situation is weird and mysterious.
Confused cuz you think it's a game but I'm dead serious.
Confused cuz you know this is meant to be.
Confused cuz you listen to the opinions of many, when you should just let your mind be free.
Confused cuz you've been severely injured and affected by the thoughts of others.
Confused on why you'd rather be friends instead of lovers.
Confused why you don't want to be by my side.
Confused when I think about this, heavily I cried.
Confused on why you invited your friend.
Confused cuz it's real and you think it's pretend.
Confused on why I still gave chase.
Confused on how I'm leading but still losing this race.
Confused on why you cling on to something that isn't there.
Confused on why you love one who wanders and not the one who stays here.
Confused on why you run to closed arms instead of a pair that are open when you're crying.
Confused on why you went a to a 'tel, next to him, in a bed lying.
Confused on whether you was hesitant or planned each penetration.
Confused about the confused and dumbfounded youth of this generation.
Confuse because you have no feelings except those for humor or is that a maybe.
Confused to be confused worse than a newborn baby.
