Sealed With A Kiss

Sealed With A Kiss

A Poem by Richard Dotson, Jr.

I’ve been infatuated with you since the first sight.
When you’re not around, I can visualize you in the shadows of the night.
I admire everything about you, from your friendly nature down to your radiant smile.
True beauty like yours hasn’t been defined in quite a while.
Your outer beauty extends from your pretty face to your thick thighs.
But your inner beauty can be explored by gazing into your eyes.
It’s good to be truthful rather than pretend.
At times, I can hear your voice being carried through the whispers in the wind.
If you were sad, I’d hold you tightly in my arms.
It’s a mystery what attracted me to you. The well crafted body or your sweet and innocent charms?
I should’ve confronted you and told you my feelings from the start.
Though I wish we were together, we still remain apart.
I must have been grazed by Cupid’s arrow.
Together, we can reach new heights like a sparrow.
I can see myself, lost and entranced, by your beautiful browns.
I must have detected your presence like a pack of bloodhounds.
I want to get closer to you, closer than how tight clothes fit.
I should’ve been loose with my feelings, yet I remained close knit.
I wanted to let you know my feelings, whether hit or miss.
I’ve shared my thoughts and expressed my feelings. They’re bound by love, honor and wisdom………and sealed with a kiss.
