A Poem by Chris

Come and sit for I have little time left,

Here upon this earth.

Running has taken all my breath.

I think it's time for me to go,

Somewhere far from here.

To the kingdom in the sky,

Out of reach and out of mind.

Perhaps there I could finally rest,

Happily living as the man up high.

Eventually you will see me once more,

Returning to my side in the end

May we just live here happily?

I fail to see why you want to go so soon.

Could you just rethink your plan?

Have we done something wrong?

Are we to sit here and accept this?

Even you should know by now,

Life is worth the hardships.

Child just accept my choice

One day you shall understand,

Nothing is as it appears.

When you finally understand this,

And all your choices are made up,

You'll know this is simply your first hardship.

This was a very good acrostic and the simple fact that you managed to write an acrostic with all the letters of your name. Kudos!

This is amazingly unique, not that many poeple would write anything like this, and you've structured it perfectly, all I can say is well done for your amazing poem. It still does not fail to amaze me :) x

I like how the words that go with each letter come together, they flow really, really well.
I think that if you had started a new phrase with every letter, it would be jerky, and rather unpleasent to read. :)
But, you obviously didn't, and that's good.
HEY! YOU SHOULD MAKE ONE FOR ME! :D

I remember writing these in middle school! Very creative and it is true that nothing is at it appears...it's all different nowadays, there are so many ways around it...to avoid it. It tells a good story and a good message. Good stuff. Good write.
