confessions from you but not I

confessions from you but not I

A Poem by Hayate

the lights flickered as i followed you down the hallway, weaving through the large building as we tried to find your room, before settling into your bedroom. we sat on the carpet floor, casually passing each other a bottle of cheap vodka you persuade your older brother to get us. we let the the bitter liquid slip past our lips and down our throats in the comfortable silence we always found ourselves in.

a confession of love for another slipped past your lips.

a confession of love for you was forced back down my throat.
