Perfect Liar

Perfect Liar

A Poem by Hayden
"

It's only a personal poem. I was extremely upset this morning and wanted to just let it out.

"
The words you say
Riddled with filth
Be silence

Your mouth
A cave, full of fool's gold
Descriptions beyond laughter

Call them beautiful
Whisper in their ear that you love them
Telling them that you don't take them for granted
Show them they are strong
Have them believe they are perfect

Woman, don't you see?
You're the monster you didn't want to be.
You have lied to yourself
As you have lied to me
You've told me this world is beautiful
Stop lying to me!
Tis not the beauty, but the hideousness I see in all.

You cheated me and left
And you promised that you wouldn't
I didn't have to trigger anything
It was all on you
And no one else
