Paper Planes

Paper Planes

A Poem by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

A written exercise

"
~~¥~~

I have made some letters
Expressed every emotion
My sentiments and longing,
My faith and hope,
My fears and doubts,
My strengths and will,
My weaknesses and flaws,
My commitment
And made them all
Into paper planes

Like you're just in the other room
I will play with these planes
And make them fly to you

~~¥~~

This poem reminded me of a Japanese song by a Vocaloid called Rin Kagamine, called Paper Planes. Its a sweet song. Just reminded me of this. I enjoy in my free time writing small poems, stories, or just nonsensical notes and folding them into airplanes or an origami and saving them for later in my life to read, as I always loved reading my old writing. So this poem made a personal connection with me in may different ways.

Nicely done, it is fascinating to see how someone can see something that most would not ever dream to write a poem about, that can be crafted into a well-done poem.

Thank you, Eddie.
what a great inspiration...love the idea of the paper planes...i remember making them as a kid and letting them fly...never knew where they would end up...just as in the poem, although the speaker hopes the plane with all the words expressed finds its way to the loved one's landing strip.
