THE SEASONS OF LIFE

THE SEASONS OF LIFE

A Poem by Heather Burns
"

Life is divided into four seasons such as nature.

"
A weaver sits among
the beautiful threads
weaving a glorious
tapestry
brilliant colors
reflect the seasons
of life
Spring offers many
hues of green, ever
so soothing When
hearts are young
happy and carefree
having a promise
for tomorrow
Still young enough
to believe dreams
can come true.
Oh those days of
summer wonderful
red, thinking we
have found our
hearts delight
enjoying the heat
of the season
passion abounding
Then Autumn turns
leaves to many
shades of gold
cascade to the
ground
leaving painted
pictures lying
around
looking at life
differently
Knowledge now
obtainable
Finally the
majestic days
of winter silver
threads carefully
enter woven
in retrospect
greens, reds, and
gold have created
the wonderful
seasons of life.

Ruth:
I love the metaphor of the fallen leaves of Autumn as photos. How true it is that what we see changes. Our perceptions of events, people, circumstances does shift as the light does in Autumn.

I just love it so when authors and poets weave colors into their writes, and you have done it so beautifully in this poem. I enjoyed the reading of it :)
