there he was. sitting leisurely as if nothing was right. he fidgeted with his sweatshirt. my living room was covered in tension. he bit his lip and stood up lucidly. the second he saw me his hands froze and stood starkly. we stared at each other until i looked away and started soaping up the dishes. what else coul i do? after twelve years he shows up here. i thought i had lost him. my heart stopped as the water ran. he stepped closer and turned away. his name was holden caulfield and he should have died three years ago.
