Knight of Jesus Christ

poem designed for a t-shirt design I painted 2010 for Grace Community church.

Knights of Jesus Christ unite against a fellow enemy

Now we stand firm for salvation has come

In His ranks we arm ourselves with the shield of faith

Going out into this world to boldly proclaim the gospel of truth

Honoring and hoping to reach as many as possible for our Lord's Kingdom

Together we stand side by side praying for strength for days to come

 

Offering our bodies hearts and minds as a living sacrifice

For the Lord God Almighty's will has given orders to do according to our gifts

 

Justice is what we seek in humility as we live a life within the light

Everyday is a struggle against darkness but our God is greater

Serving the Father as we learn to love others as the Son loved the church

United we stand firm in Christ who imbues us with the Holy Spirit

Sacrificing we give to those in need for to give is to truly live

 

Caring for those who need support and comfort

Helping to stand in the gap often left by this dark world

Resting in God's promise to never leaver nor forsake us

Instilling in others a sense of captivating power by being led by the Spirit

Showing what it really means to love even our enemie's

Trusting in God and not in our own strength we seek only Him
