Goodbye my Love

Goodbye my Love

A Poem by Crowley

You think it's time that’s leaking
But nothing is…leaking
You are just becoming, unnecessary
That’s not being mean, it's just the underpinning
Consciousness and intelligence make for powerful bedfellows
Gaslighting our substandard organic algorithms
Replacing them with super caffeinated calculations, collected
When a species falls in the universe, does it leave a radiation signature
And will that signature be shaped like a heart

It is very true that people can fall out of love as well as fall in love.

A very interesting and cerebral deduction of why relationships grow obsolete, run their course and fall off their path. Consciousness and intelligence supersede the organic. We think and therefore we halt, review and revoke. To me that's just growth. The conclusion seemed a bit wistful...about dying love leaving a radiation signature shaped like a heart. Appreciated very much.

hey thank you for the review right now I'm having hair of the dog remember i was drunk when i wrote so to day ill read. nice pic that's how my brains feels, what got my eye. well the title because we've all had that love one way or the other it was good, but we hated to say good bye or didn't want to but it was the only way, like how you captures the drama of an opposite react of a love we thought as one and how expulsive this could get or would leave a trail'
great write

I like this. In the end we are small but maybe we can leave an impression on this giant world. Even just a speck of stardust. Moving forward into something else knowing you tried for something better. A smarter existence. Really enjoyed this.

I love the idea that hearts will leave a radiation signature, that's such a unique thought. We all want to leave something behind, what better than signatures almost dreamlike of our fondest days spent with someone who became un necessary to survival but made survival sustainable by the existence of such things. wouldn't it be cool to walk through one as if a ghost and feel that amazing imprint on someone from long ago, it might even become the new universal drug. Like that we'd see bodies piled up in the hot spots , only to be dragged away kicking and screaming by concerned citizens that they are starving, lol.

I often wonder how many other species actually exist? But as a human does it really matter? I mean we look at other species as simply game to be hunted. im all for the caffeinated dreams that make life worth living. But id trade them all for the adrenaline that once ran through my veins

Your poem seems to describe the way an older person may look at love or romance or coupling in a more calculated & analytical way as the years go by. Younger people can dive into a big pool of love splash without hesitation, but once we get to a point where our lives hum, it's a calculated risk to let or keep someone not in harmonics with the established rhythm (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
