One simple moment, one blink of an eye,

The future is changed, this isn’t goodbye.

 

A smile here, a laugh there,

You’ll be remembered everywhere,

We’re hurting now, the pain is pressing,

This isn't forever,

Death isn't lasting.

 

It hurts in the past; it hurts in the present,

Separation is lethal,

But we know it’s worth it,

One day soon, or maybe far away,

We will be reunited,

You’ll guide me all the way.
