Victoian Home

A Poem by Tony Hwilka

Planted solidly

Upon the ground

Three stories high

Fireplace in every room

My home

Home of yesterday

Can still hear the music

Which filled the air

Women in full skirts

Parasols in hand

Men in vested suits

Wearing straw hats

Ah! Those were the days

Where have they gone?

Where are the people?

What happened to me?

About
In the land of poetry I've been very luckly. I have had my own poetry show on radio station WTTM Trenton N.J. reading my poetry from 1982 -- 1990. Was president of the Southern Poets of N.J. and still.. more..
