I posted this viral video...to show how many false Gods we worship even in our Government. They have no minds of their own...like the religious leaders of today....we take for granted everything that they do and say.....

well, i have strong feelings about organized religion (raised catholic) and the majority are not positive...

especially the whole confession thing...

i think this raises some good points about what we worship today in our society...

your writing is quite thoughtful...and it makes us stop and think...

Very much open to interpretation. No matter my opinion, because let's face it, we all question and wonder our entire lives- it's a pleasure to see a bold assertion comprised so beautifully, and that is what poetry is about.

Kailer...I'm disappointed in you. You should stand firm with your convictions. That's the point of sharing and debating on here. To back pedal away...it makes you look weak. Going forward....if you have something to say...say it...and be proud of what you believe in...don't feel embarrassed by your faith...your ideas...your thoughts. This conversation here amongst readers is proof that despite our differences...we can agree to disagree at times.

I didn't delete my stuff because I hold back my beliefs, but merely because I didn't realize what a hot-button issue all that stuff was, and I got fed up with the "pandora's box" effect of it. I've always believed that religious debates are created for the ignorant, the insecure, the folks who love to argue, folks who have to feel they're right, and the folks who got too much time on their hands. I am none of these things, and consequently I never debate things at all, so when I go into debates, well . . . it's all foreign to me. I know what I know in my heart, and I don't need to shout and cuss and slander and argue.
Anyway . . . but you're right about how I shouldn't have deleted it. I just thought maybe my opinion was better off kept back, rather than setting people off--I think, in retrospect, that was wrong. I won't make that mistake again. Thank you :)

I agree with your words. I was brought to the church and left. I found more peace with nature and internal reach for happiness. I like your thoughts and photos. Sad when men of faith do terrible things. Religion had done great and kind things in our world. I supported with the Army. Food, medicine and water to the Catholic church in many places in this world in need. I like your view and enjoyed the outstanding poetry.

Religion has gotten a bad rap because of man. It can be a very beautiful experience when it's done and shared with all the right intentions. Like when you supplied people with food..clothing...medicine and shelter. It's the walking the walk that gets people motivated to follow. But there's too many believers and nonbelievers that just talk the talk, and nothing more.

I know I know...it has already sucked up so much of my time talking to people about their views. I don't regret it....it is so entertaining to hear about how people feel...what they believe...and what they perceive as truth.
