Coffee

You taunt me

Sitting in your cup

Dark as night

Leftover from breakfast

Still warm

I splash in a little milk

And sip

The sink is soon filled with that sip

I add some caramel

And sip

Again the sink takes my sip

I give up

How do people drink that stuff

What a waste of the precious liquid!!!! Coffee is the best!! However you may have tried one of the darker roasts. these are often have more bite than milder lighter roasts. also the type of coffee bean can make a great difference. I love most coffees but there are some specific beans that I try to avoid. Still the poem works well and made me laugh.

haha! Very cute! I used to hate coffee when I was little. It was some nasty "adult" drink to me. But I'm addicted to it now.
Just keep drinking it--- you will learn to love it!!
