Bell in the Night

Bell in the Night

A Poem by H.L. Cerveise

Bell in the Night

She rings like a bell in the night and wouldn't you love to love her?

I hear the soft sweet sound in the dark cold night.

I am guided by the melodious sound.

It is like a beacon upon a storm-tossed sea.

As I get closer, I feel your radiating warmth.

I see your radiant soul shining forth into the blackness.

I wrap my arms around you and draw you near.

I whisper into your ear the answer is yes.

I say, do you not know that I have loved you before I even knew you?

You know that you are a part of me that has been missing.

She takes to the sky like a bird in flight and who will join her?

I say you have melted the icy dragon in me.

You have completely set free my soul from its long dark night.

My heart pounds with joy at the warmth of your heart.

I whisper again the answer is yes.

Spread your wings and let my breath of desire lift you skyward.

I will see your joy and feel your needs.

On ethereal wings together we will rise.

High above the earth we will soar.

We will reach high into the clear fresh sky.

Our souls pulsate as one.

Our hearts beat as one.

We are one!
