Apocalyptic Lady

Apocalyptic Lady

A Poem by David
"

A few acrostics if you can find them.

"

A new day

to take the pain away

One more time

I didn't want to stay

Blessed, cursed white

I used to make it through

But no more

I only care for you

For what do we have to live?

Love?

The heart's desire?

That mule won't make it that far

God?

Didn't he catch fire

in all the other poems?

Besides,

you don't really care

Do you?

I thought you did

But I was never sure

Tell me one more time

What's your name?

I knew you'd let me down

Every day I prayed

Shouting out your name

Hearing just the echo

Underneath my heart

All I do is wait

A sweet smell

to rush it all away

Take my hand

I don't want to stay

Cursed, blessed red

to make my joy real

But no more

I find it hard to feel

You're here

All dressed in white

How did you know?

When did you get here?

Elegance before me

How did you know?

Glory to the new!

Should I put you up for review?

Nevermind

I'll keep you out of you

The other one will be the clue

Cataclysm in my soul

Tell me what to feel

Apocalyptic lady

Utter what is real

Incendiary typographer

Recognize my fear

Turbulent lover

Never let me hear

Lecherous insurgent

Ever growing anger

Indigenous sweaters

Righteous minded beast

Nuance shakes the tears

The monster unlocks the fear

to the heart of more than her

That key must be destroyed

In the eyes of all the broken

Don't fear

Wow. This is very very powerful. I like how it seems to be cryptic, written just so a certain person will understand it completely.
