They/You/Me

They/You/Me

A Poem by PureAbstrakt
"

Love is the way out of the ordinary. When Love happens, your scale of values changes and with it the craziest little things become most important. Funny thing, though, is, that none of this matters any more, anyway...

"

They/You/Me

They say that trees are in bloom in spring

And that it usually snows a lot in December...

That pain is no good and that smiling too much

Can lead to lines on my face...

That the number thirteen brings luck while in Vegas

And that we only live once...

You say that my fingers hold the promise of a thousand simphonies,

That my lips can draw a perfect circle in amazement,

That my skin breathes air full of rose petals,

That when I cry

Morning comes and pours dew onto all flowers...

I say,

What do they know?...

I say,

Turn off the light and come closer...

I adore these last four lines, they pull the whole poem together.
